I have a cup of coffee in the morning with my breakfast and that is probably as much caffeine I need in a day, but I do like some flavoured hot beverages during Fall. Those hot drinks have lots of sugar in them and would make me sick, so I made this hot drink so that I can drink it and also kids can drink it too without the sugar overload and caffeine. This recipe is quick and easy and tastes amazing.
1/3 cup of pumpkin puree
1 cup of coconut milk
1/4 cup of coconut sugar
1/4 cup of water
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of allspice
1/4 tsp of ground cloves
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk until it is all mixed in. Heat on low and slowly heat it up, don't boil it. Heat the drink for about five to ten minutes. Pour into a glass and top with a pinch of coconut sugar or coconut cream. If its too thick for you you can add a tablespoon of coconut milk. Enjoy.
