Burgers are the best bbq summer food hands down. My Husband always laughed at my burgers because I used to make them so tiny that the bun looked huge. Well this was my first big burger I have made in a long time. I cant eat lettuce right now so lettuce wraps are out and I wanted to make this burger amazing and give it a little kick and awesome taste. I did just that. I just went all out and threw in whatever I thought would taste Mexican and this recipe rocks. My Husband didn't laugh at this burger, he ate it up so fast and loved it. I am so excited to share this recipe because I'm still wanting another burger hours after I ate it because it was so good. I hope you enjoy it to. This recipe made five burgers.
For the burgers
1lb of ground beef
3 mushrooms, diced into small pieces
1 lime juice
1 tsp of chilli powder
1 tsp cayenne powder
1 tsp coconut aminos
pinch of salt and pepper
1 small onion, diced
1 tsp of apple cider vinegar
1 egg
Guacamole
4 avocados
1 lime juice
1 tsp of cayenne pepper, or 1/2 a tsp if you don't want it to spicy
1 tomato, diced
pinch of salt and pepper
1 shallot, diced
To make the burgers mix all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well if your hands. Form your burgers into medium size patties. Start your bbq and cook your burgers. In the meantime you can make the guacamole. In a bowl spoon out the avocados and add the rest of the ingredients except the tomato and use a knife to break up the avocado. Mix well. Top with the diced tomato. Top the burgers when they are cooked with the guacamole and any other topping you like. Enjoy.
