I have always loved pulled pork, especially with yummy sweet sauce. I am a saucy kinda girl and love all times of sauce on my food. I haven't had pulled pork for a long time, probably since before I started the paleo eating so I have seen so many pulled pork recipes for the summer that I thought it would be a nice change and a tasty summer meal. My daughter doesn't eat too much meat and is quite picky with eating and I asked her to try it and that I'll never ask again if she just eats it this once, and she ate a little and said its the best pork shes ever had. I was so happy, it made my night. So here is my recipe for pulled pork.
1 pork shoulder
1/4 cup of pure molasses
1/4 cup of coconut sugar
1/4 cup of honey
pinch of salt
1 can of tomato paste
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp of coconut aminos
1 tsp of chilli powder
Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Add all the ingredients and stir really well so that its all mixed in with the meat. Cook on high for 5-6 hours. Serve with my vegetable medley or your favourite side.
